January's Craft!!!

Isn't this so dang cute!! I always struggle to find a cute wreath or door hanging sign for my door every year for January! I think its because there really isn't a holiday other then new years that falls in that month, so it always hard to know what to put on the door, especially when there is still so much snow on the ground too! I think this SNOW FLAKE will be perfect!! This is so so easy to make!! It is made out of Popsicle sticks!! How easy is that!!
We will be making The Snow Flake Wreath on January 12th, 2011
at: 7:00pm-10:00pm at the Wilde for Learning Preschool.
Price: $8.00
That includes the jumbo Popsicle sticks(42), Wood circle disc (Center), glue sticks, white paint, tulle or ribbon, glitter.
I forgot to add in the Wood discs around the Snowflake so if you would like the 12 round wood discs then you would pay $11.00,
I will plan on using chip board that's is thick enough to look like wood and holds up just as good too for the ones that still want to pay the $8.00.
Also, another question people has had is... "What if i have a White door?" If you have a white door then you are more then welcome to bring your own color of paint, like blue, red, silver, gold.... etc.
I will only be providing the WHITE paint! If you have any more questions feel free to ask me. Thanks!
I will need everyone's money by December 28th
Sign up on the Blog or on Facebook!!
Hope to see a lot of you there!!

** If you have a Husband that can cut the wood for you, then take off the $7.00, or if he can cut the 2X4's and not the star then just pay $1.50 for just the star. Tree Skirt

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Sorry once again these pics are small but I just grabbed them from pineterst so we could get the idea. These are tree skirts. If yours looks anything like mine it could use an update. We have some options here
Pricing

$21.00 bring your old tree skirt, includes fabric, glue, and hostess percentage

$9.00 bring your old tree skirt, bring your own fabric 4yrds total, includes glue and hostess percentage

You can either get the material yourself or have me get it. If so I am doing a nuetral theme and a christmas theme. You will need your old tree skirt or if you do not have one I would suggest a cheapo one from the dollar store the felt kind. Although this looks really frilly it is simple and all you use is fabric and a handy dandy glue gun. To make things go faster bring your glue gun if you have one and a rotary cutter we will be doing a lot of cutting. So let me know if you are interested and what color scheme you would like or if you will be getting your own fabric.

Christmas Pennant Banners

I will have pics up tomorrow of the real deal and the fabrics chosen

These pics may be small but just wanted you to get the idea for our December craft night. These pennant banners are so cute and easy to make. We will be doing Christmas colors on one side and Valentine on the other that way it serves a dual purpose. This is a sewing project but it is very basic so if you know how to sew great, if you dont it will be a great time to learn.

Pricing $12.00 includes fabric (already cut) bias tape, thread and hostess percentage.

I already have four kits cut up (that takes the most time) It took me only 30 min to sew together so this will be a quick project if we get enough machines there. I will have mine there to use since mine is already done.

If you want one of the four kits already cut up it is first come first serve, if you did not grab one of the kits I will get more done if there is enough interest.

These look great over the fireplace, across a mirror or frame along a banister (needs to have the same fabric on both sides if you do this) etc. I took an executive decision and did not do letter (way to much cutting and time but if you would like to bring your own to do that is great)

Do Your Own Projects

If you didn't get a chance to pay for supplies and still would like to come to Ladie's Time Out there might be some extra supplies (mostly for pop can bows) that could be purchased on a first come, first serve basis. Or if you have projects of your own, come join us and work on those. Please let me know if you are coming so I can set up enough table and chairs.

2x4 turkeys

Hey ladies here is one last craft idea for next week's craft night. They were WAY fun to do and are so cute!  They do take a little bit of time but i will have them made up into kits so if you don't feel you have time to do them that night you can purchase a kit to take home..

I always like to make things in three's but I am offering 2 different kits. You can do

2 small turkeys for $10 or

3 (1 tall 2 small) turkeys for $15.00

Post a comment if you would like to purchase a kit. I am ok with you bringing the money that night since this is last minute but I do need to know how many kits to make up and I will hold you to it if you sign up :)

Pop Can Hair Bow-updated

I've updated the photos of the hair bows so you can get a better idea of what they will look. There is foam on the back so you don't need to worry up sharp edges. We're asking that you pay in advance so we can get supplies and get an idea of how many are attending. If you are uncertain how many bows you want to make, pay for how many you think you would like to make and if  you decide you want to make more bows that night you certainly can as long as everyone that has paid has gotten a chance to make their bows. Jenni will be collecting the money. The cost is $1 per bow. Please remember to bring:
  • Soda pop can-it take about 1 1/2 cans per bow
  • A pair of scissors
Come prepared to have lots of fun. The bows are simple and fun to make, a kind of addicting!

Snack

Bring your favorite Fall Snack to share at the November Ladies' Night Out.

Paper goods will be supplied.

Calling all Crafters and Domestic Divas!

I am looking for Crafters and Domestic Divas that would like to make a SMALL profit. It's not much, because I would like to keep Ladies' Time Out cost friendly and affordable. You will make 15% of your crafts total supply fee. Example: Coffee Filter Wreath supplies cost $10. 15% of that is $1.50. So the cost of the wreath would be $12(An additional 5% would be charged for the Hostess). If 10 people ordered a wreath you would make $15. Think of it as a fun night to be with your friends, eat treats, and hopefully have at least your own craft paid for with the profit you make. You would be responsible for providing all the supplies, unless it is something that will vary by taste or is easily brought from home(pop cans, scrapbook paper, etc.) Any left over supplies will be yours. You will need to figure out what the supply cost is per craft and let me know. I would also like pictures of your craft to post on the blog. Each month there will be 2-3 crafts taught to give a variety of choices. If you are interested in teaching a craft at Ladies' Time Out, call Jen Wilde at 623-0150.

Pop Can Hair Bows

Tosha Goodman will be teaching us how to make Pop Can Hair Bows in November. Each hair bow you make will cost $1.00. You will need to bring your own pop cans. It takes about 2-3 pop cans per bow. If you would like to two different bows you could get with a friend and each bring 3 cans and trade for different designs. Some fun colored pop can ideas are Fresca, Diet Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Squirt, etc. Jewels for centers will be provided, you may bring your own if desired. Leave a comment below to order one or more. All payments must be received by November 1st.

Book Page Wreaths

This is a large book wreath that Mandee has made.

Mandee Robison will be teaching how to make a book page wreath for our Time Out in November. The cost is ...... Leave a comment below to order one or more. Specify if you would like a small 8"- $12 , medium 12"- $18, or large 14"- $24 wreath and which color of fabric you would like to hold your wreath: cream, chocolate brown, black, or red. (A medium sized book wreath sells for $65 on pintrest.) You will not need to bring any supplies with you, unless you would prefer to use music sheets instead of book pages. If so, let us know and you will need to supply your own music sheets. If possible, bring your own glue gun to reduce time. All payments must be recieved by November 1st.
